Craig Smith graduated from the University of Texas in Austin December 1975 with a BBA degree in marketing. He started his aircraft sales career with Cessna Aircraft Company in May 1977 as a Regional Sales Manager covering the states of TX, AK, LA and MS. He joined AMR Combs, the general aviation division of American Airlines, as Regional Sales Manager. He was based in Indianapolis and was responsible for the buying and selling of used turbine and jet aircraft. He was also appointed as the Cessna Authorized Sales Representative for the sale of new Cessna Caravans in MI, IN, OH and KY.
